Korean Number

Korea has 2 kind of number, there is:

1. SINO KOREAN NUMBER (1-100)
Function:
- For any number 100 or higher even if it would normally be expressed in native Korean (since native Korean only goes to 99)
- Counting any unit of time other than hours (if counting months, you follow it with 개월, which is the generic countword + the Sino-Korean word for month/moon)
- For creating the names of the months (number of month + 월)
- Money / currency
- Math
- Measurements (kilometers, grams, liters, etc.)
- Phone numbers

Lets count with sino korean number!! (1-100)

Picture

Sino korean  number so easy to use then the other korean number. As we knew, it used to count something that more than 100. Ex:
2013: 2 + 1000 + 10 + 3

이 + 천 + 십 + 삼 = 이천십삼

Easy, right?? Then, let us know how did you say 23.123 in korean??^^

Now, lets see what is the other korean number?
I guess that some of you knew about it! Yeah, it called "Native Korean Number"
2. Native Korean Number

Function:
- Counting physical objects (including people) and usually followed by a countword (개, 명, 분, 잔, etc. depending on what is being counted)
- Years of age
- Hours
- Counting (in general)
- Counting months (but only when used with the native Korean word for month/moon: 달)
Native korean number usually use in daily activity. The simplest example one is when we want to take a picture, we will say: 하나 [ha-na], 둘 [dul], 셋 [set] and then take a picture. But, this kind of number a little bit hard to remember.
Lets count in Native Korean Number then~ (1-100)
How is it? difficult? yeah, a little. But, I believe that you can do it!!^^
